Photography is art and this site is primarily a showcase of my fine art photography. I encourage you to look at my work and to contact me about any specific piece or my work in general. The statement and biography should provide further insight into what motivates and guides my art. I use multiple processes to create: black and white and color film, gelatin silver prints, digital, drawing, collage and video.
The image above, What We See is a Veil, is from the series, Mosaic. Photography is a medium of light just as dance is a medium of movement. The camera's ability to capture what is usually agreed upon as "reality" is the least of its possibilities. It has a great ability to capture that which is unseen, beneath the surface and hidden from view, similar to an iceberg, which is 90% underwater and mostly invisible, but is no less real. This is abstraction. Most of my work from its beginning was abstract in some manner.
